Founded in 1996, Jimmy Choo specializes in luxury perfumes, handbags, shoes and accessories. Because of Jimmy Choo’s high-quality standards, the brand easily earned its position as a trusted perfume creator upon first launching their classic Jimmy Choo man and Jimmy Choo Woman.
The big hit fragrances paved the way for a whole line of impressive creations that anyone could easily pull off as an everyday signature scent.
Just like the brand’s flawless fashion designs, Jimmy Choo’s fragrance line has been admired by royals and celebrities all over the world earning their way to the heat of consumers as a respected luxury brand.
In this article, I have reviewed all existing Jimmy Choo colognes and ranked my top 5 them based on personal preference, uniqueness, and distinctiveness. Read on to discover which is the best Jimmy Choo cologne for you.
What are the Best Jimmy Choo Colognes?
How I Tested and Selected The Best Jimmy Choo Colognes
Narrowing down the top 5 Jimmy Choo colognes wasn’t a particularly daunting task given the brand’s relatively concise selection. However, determining the order of preference proved to be a challenge.
Notably absent from this selection is Jimmy Choo Man Aqua, a fragrance worth exploring separately.
During the reviewing process, I delved into the expected metrics such as longevity, intensity, and overall performance. However, my focus extended beyond the standard parameters. I was keen on unraveling the personality of each fragrance—understanding when and where they shine best.
Despite the distinct characteristics of each scent, they share a common price range, hovering around $80 to $100.
This places them comfortably in the mid-range for high-end fragrances, making them accessible to those seeking quality without an exorbitant price tag.
In-Depth Jimmy Choo Cologne Reviews
Jimmy Choo Man Intense eau de toilette
Jimmy Choo Man Intense eau de toilette Review
Opening my list of the best Jimmy Choo Colognes is one of the brand’s most celebrated masculine fragrances.
The pepper note caught my attention, I find pink pepper works well with florals and citruses, while black pepper pairs better with wood. The fragrance feels like a classic fougère with a modern twist, and the base notes are notably good.
As a lover of intense eau de toilette fragrances, I couldn’t agree more with the new and enhanced formulation.
The fragrance has a unique smoothness, and I appreciate how it combines greenness, violet, and pepper. The clean white nitro musks add a radiant touch.
Suitable for every ambitious soul, Jimmy Choo Man Intense is best suited for all cold seasons and makes an extraordinary signature fragrance for him
Top Notes: Melon, , Lavender, Mandarin Orange
Middle Notes: Geranium, Black Pepper, Artemisia
Base Notes: Tonka Bean, Patchouli, Labdanum
What we liked
- Highly versatile and perfect for every occasion
- Rich with varied light breezy notes
- A perfect signature scent
Jimmy Choo Man blue
Jimmy Choo Man blue Review
Jimmy Choo Man Blue has a youthful aquatic soul with a citrus opening while embodying a well-performing sillage of masculine spicy notes.
Opening on summery notes of vibrant citrus and a slight hint of feminine lavender, Jimmy Choo Man Blue creates a modern ambiance of tangy and spicy aromas.
Despite the Clary sage note listed, it’s subtle in the background. As the fragrance evolves, vanilla becomes prominent, adding a slightly powdery sweetness to the mix.
The dry down introduces soft sandalwood and a touch of leather, although the leather note is more of a supporting element for depth rather than a distinct leather scent.
Initially, I was quite critical of this fragrance, thinking it resembled generic blends of popular men’s scents. However, with more wear, I’ve come to appreciate its pleasant nature. Yet, it still falls short of being truly memorable. It doesn’t grab attention or leave a lasting impression, making it more forgettable compared to other mass-pleasing options.
Top Notes: Lavender, Black Pepper, Clary Sage
Middle Notes: Ambergris, Leather, Cypress, Apple, Melon
Base Notes: Vanilla, Sandalwood, Vetiver, Patchouli
What we liked
- Youthful and energizing
- Fruity, fresh smell
- Vibrant and perfect for all young men
Jimmy Choo Man
Jimmy Choo Man Review
Responsible for the success of many other Jimmy Choo man versions, such as Jimmy Choo man intense, and Jimmy Choo Man Blue, this fragrance is the original creation made from a combination of rich woody and fruity notes.
What sets the original Man from the other Jimmy Choo colognes is its radiant woody scent that’s perfectly seductive, mysterious, and empowering.
L’eau EDT’s base notes are traditional masculine cedarwood and musk, which perfectly contrast the feminine and sensual top notes.
The initial spray is powerful and masculine, but as the day goes on, it transitions into a pleasant fruity aroma with hints of cinnamon, cardamom, and a touch of lemon. Despite the initial intensity, the fragrance mellows out into a nice, long-lasting scent.
Top Notes: Pineapple, Suede, Incense
Middle Notes: Pink Pepper , Patchouli
Base Notes: Lavender, Cedarwood, Mellon.
What we liked
- Extremely rich in different masculine notes
- Sophistocatedly Sweet
- Perfect everyday signature cologne for young men
Jimmy Choo Urban Hero
Jimmy Choo Urban Hero Review
At your first whiff, traditional masculine notes will lead the opening whilst the woody aromatic cologne mellows including mid notes of white floral.
This perfume embraces oriental identity and has top notes of vanilla, mandarins, lilies, and jasmine, with base notes of wood and rose.
In terms of comparisons, Urban Hero exhibits a DNA reminiscent of Paco Rabanne Invictus, with a youthful and clean appeal. However, it falls short of the attention-grabbing nature of Invictus.
Unlike Choo’s other colognes, this bottle has a sparkling gold glitter cap that adds a touch of superiority to the fragrance.
Despite its mass appeal, the fragrance lacks a unique and memorable quality. Personally, I find it a bit generic and would recommend exploring other blue fragrances like the Yves Saint Laurent or Invictus lines.
Top Notes: Bergamot, Black Pepper, Orange Blossom
Middle Notes: Palisander Rosewood, Vetiver
Base Notes: Leather, Ambergris
What we liked
- Modern, youthful scent
- Powerful and expressive
- Perfect as a casual anytime fragrance
Jimmy Choo Man Ice
Jimmy Choo Man Ice Review
The softest Jimmy Choo Cologne, Ice is created with lime top notes and an underlying musky base, the fragrance evokes a flirtatious sweetness with a rich and woody character.
The bottle exudes a summer vibe with a white gradient to clear, and the leather-wrapped cap adds a touch of sophistication. The atomizer is excellent, offering a fine mist.
The scent is finished with base notes of warm honey, sandalwood, and light amber woody notes, that almost eliminate any sweetness making it a well-balanced perfume.
Now, the longevity is where it takes a hit. Sadly, it’s below average, lasting around four to five hours with an hour of noticeable projection. It’s a drawback, but considering its casual nature, you might still find occasions to reapply.
In terms of seasons and occasions, Jimmy Choo Man Ice is perfect for hot summer days, especially by the beach or pool. It’s extremely casual, leaning towards playful and youthful vibes. While targeted at men, I can see women rocking this unisex fragrance.
Top Notes: Citron, , Bergamot, Mandarin Orange
Middle Notes: Apple, Vetiver, Cedar, Patchouli
Base Notes: Musk, Ambroxan, Moss
What we liked
- Ageless and softly playful
- Perfect for any occasion
- Well balanced with a subtle musky hint
