Paco Rabanne One Million Review

This fragrance took the market by storm in the late 2010s and deserved its name as the best fragrance at the time.

I would be surprised if you looked at any top paco rabanne colognes page and didn’t see One Million on there!

While the scent works better for young men anywhere from early twenties to young thirties, it makes a perfect everyday casual cologne and reminds me of Paco Rabanne pour Homme in its opening.

To me, it’s the slightly sweet, leathery, spicy notes that stand out and inspire me to rate this fragrance as the single best Paco Rabanne cologne for men.

Opening on a highly rich and potent note of bergamot, fruity notes, and musk, it’s not until 10 – 15 minutes until you start selling the real character of Paco Rabanne One Million.

Out of all of what the One Million collection offers, the best 2 in my humble opinion are the original and the intense version.

Top Notes: Salt, , Leather, , Pine

Middle Notes: Cashmere wood, Tuberose, Monoi oil

Base Notes: Solar notes, Caramel, Bergamot

Paco Rabanne Invictus Review

Invictus has firmly secured its spot in my fragrance collection, standing out as a reliable staple. I’ve always been drawn to its wearability and remarkable flexibility, making it a versatile choice for various occasions.

Regarding its performance,  I get a solid 12 hours, and the projection, especially in the first hour, can be overwhelming. However, it mellows down to a more reasonable level after a couple of hours.

In my experience, Invictus leans a bit sweet upon initial application, with a pronounced aquatic and aromatic presence. The grapefruit becomes more prominent in the dry down, toning down the sweetness. I find it to be a great fragrance, especially for the summer.

Top Notes: Sea Notes, , Grapefruit , Mandarin Orange

Middle Notes: Ambergris, Guaiac Wood, Oakmoss, Patchouli

Base Notes: Pink pepper, Patchouli, Blood orange blossom

What we liked

  • A lighthearted fresh scent
  • Energizing marine notes

Pacco Rabanne Pure Xs Review

Pure XS by Paco Rabanne is the intense version of the original black XS. It is a true gentleman’s signature scent.

The top notes of ginger and cinnamon create a bold opening before giving way to the smooth blend of vanilla and sweet caramel at the heart.

As it settles, wood compounds and vanillin contribute to a woody, velvety undertone. It’s a fragrance that evolves on the skin, revealing fruity and musky nuances.

As for the overall impression, I find it to be a must fragrance, featuring a very good and versatile musk accord. The scent is smooth, clean, and lends a sensual quality, making it suitable for various occasions. It has a great price point, and the longevity ensures it lasts through the night.

Top Notes: Ginger, Thyme, Grapefruit, Bergamot, Green Accord

Middle Notes: Vanilla, Liquor, Cinnamon, Leather, Apple

Base Notes: Myrrh, Sugar, Cedar, Woody Notes, Cashmeran, Patchouli

Paco Rabanne Black XS Review

Bringing back one of the early 2000 classics, Black XS is a seductive well-rounded crowd-pleaser.

When I first tried Black XS I was expecting a dark, sexy scent, but instead, it delivered a fun, playful vibe. Picture a blend of Paco Rabanne DNA with a hint of citrus and birch. It’s fruity, sweet, and has a bit of that clubbing feel.

Upon multiple tests, it performs decently on me, sticking around for a good six and a half hours on my skin. It leans slightly on the sweet side but is perfectly balanced with a hint of cinnamon.

Along with being one of the sweetest Pacco Rabanne fragrances, it is also one of the most versatile on this list.

All in all, Black XS is a great choice for anyone looking for a strong, long-lasting fragrance with a sweet and sensual scent.

Top Notes: Lemon, Sage

Middle Notes: Praline, Cinnamon, Tolu Balsam, Black Cardamom

Base Notes: Brazilian Rosewood, Patchouli, Black Amber

What we liked

  • The sweetly masculine blend
  • A Paco Rabanne classic
  • Deep and dark yet sweet and soft

Paco by Paco Rabanne Review

Paco Rabanne’s Paco. Launched in 1995, it’s a citrus aromatic fragrance that, in its heyday, was part of the unisex trend alongside CK One.

Often overshadowed by CK One, I personally find Paco to be a more refined and grown-up option. It shares similarities but leans towards a cleaner and more versatile profile.

Something in it reminds me of Paco Rabanne Invictus and its flankers, Paco just like Invictus is a fragrance for any time and occasion.

The notes include Amalfi lemon, tea, mandarin orange, and pine, delivering a refreshing citrus blast upon application. The subtle sweetness of lavender and tonka bean adds a touch of mystery to the middle notes.

Perfect for those who appreciate a conservative, yet slightly masculine spring/summer scent with moderate strength. While it’s labeled unisex, it tends to lean more towards the masculine side, suitable for a mature audience.

In conclusion, Paco by Paco Rabanne deserves more recognition. If you spot it, give it a try.

Top Notes: Amalfi Lemon, Pine, Mandarin Orange, Coriander

Middle Notes: Tea, Lavender, Jasmine, Cyclamen

Base Notes: Musk, Sandalwood, Virginia Cedar, Tonka Bean

What we liked

  • Blend of jasmine in the freshness
  • Ageless and mass-appealing
  • Soft musky base notes

Paco Rabanne Phantom Review

Upon the release of this fragrance, what caught my attention initially was the distinctive robot-themed packaging, a departure from Paco Rabanne’s usual design aesthetics. Intrigued, I decided to give the scent a try, and I must say, the experience was far from ordinary.

Upon spraying, the synthetic sweetness hits hard, reminiscent of modern perfume compositions with acetates. The fruity and cashew nut notes give it a radiant quality, but it may be too sweet for some.

For someone like me, in their 30s, this fragrance doesn’t align with my preferences. However, I can see its appeal for teenagers and those in their early to mid-20s. It offers a bold, sweet presence that suits a more youthful demographic.

In summary, Phantom is technically well-executed for its target market, which is younger men in their late teens and early twenties.

Top Notes: Lavender, Lemon Zest, Amalfi Lemon

Middle Notes: Lavender, Smoke, Earthy Notes, Apple, Patchouli

Base Notes: Vanilla, Lavender, Vetiver

What we liked

  • Blend of unusual notes
  • Perfect for every and any taste
  • Excellent everyday casual wear

Paco Rabanne Ultra Violet Man Review

Ultraviolet is a rich and fresh cologne from the house of Paco Rabanne that isn’t really talked about.

Unlike almost all Paco Rabanne fragrances, Ultraviolet isn’t for everyone, its notes are highly niche, and it’ll only smell great to floral fresh fragrance admirers.

Upon testing, this unique scent finely intertwines notes of vetiver, mint, and oakmoss to create a seductive yet sophisticated aroma.

As I delve deeper, I notice a distinct mint ice cream vibe, which I’m not the biggest fan of. The composition leans heavily on ether vanillin, a cost-effective compound that tends to linger on the skin. While I appreciate elements like spicy leathery nuances, they’re overshadowed by the overpowering mint ice cream accord.

Assessing the presentation, the bottle design is unique, aligning with Paco Rabanne’s distinctive style. Despite the name Ultraviolet, there’s no violet note, which might be misleading.

This cologne boasts a decent longevity of around seven hours, with robust projection in the initial hours. Versatility leans towards younger age groups for casual or nighttime wear.

Top Notes: Mint, Amber

Middle Notes: Vetiver, Pepper, Spicy Notes

Base Notes: Oakmoss, Vanilla

What we liked

  • Seductively fresh
  • Futuristic packaging
  • Light and energizing
