How I Tested and Selected T Best Chloé Perfumes

In order to create my list of the best Chloé perfumes, I kicked things off with the classic Chloe Au Du Parfum – a revisit to an old favorite that secured its spot at number one in my lineup.

Venturing beyond the signature scent, I explored a variety of Chloe fragrances through samples. The surprising versatility in scents made it tough to choose, but I welcomed the challenge and crafted a diverse selection.

To me, Chloe exudes femininity, and the sophistication of their bottle designs caught my eye. Elegant and simple, no crazy colors or over-the-top decorations – just pure class.

In the longevity and sillage department, Chloe didn’t disappoint. While some outshone others, all options proved to be above average, ensuring a lasting and captivating fragrance experience.

Each of my Chloé perfume reviews provides ratings on categories like scent quality, the versatility of the product, how much it projects out from the wearer, and the value for money provided!

Chloé Eau de Parfum Review

Chloé Eau de Parfum is the brand’s eponymous perfume, its best-known fragrance, as well as the overall Chloé perfume best seller.

The product was released in 2007 and represents a significant departure from the original Chloé eau de parfum spray, which had enjoyed significant popularity in previous decades.

It is a floral-fresh fragrance, with rose, magnolia, lily of the valley, peony and amber notes. With its lychee note, it surprised me by being sweet, tart, and juicy, reminiscent of the addictive scent in Delina.

Like many Chloé perfumes, it has a clear feminine appeal, although it is an elegant scent, which is not overly ‘girly’.

I noticed that the projection was not loud initially, but it has surprising longevity.

This perfume is well-suited to all seasons, and is versatile enough to work as an everyday scent, including for use in professional settings.

Top Notes: Peony, Freesia, Lychee

Middle Notes: Lily of the Valley, Rose, Magnolia

Base Notes: Amber , Cedarwood

What we liked

  • Excellent longevity
  • Established as a classic perfume
  • Great for everyday use

Chloé Nomade Eau de Parfum Review

Released in 2018, Chloé Nomade is an eau de parfum spray, which was created by Quentin Bisch. The floral fragrance was designed to be a more fun and adventurous perfume than the eponymous scent.

The fragrance, classified as a floral chypre, surprised me with its slightly masculine and edgy vibe, which is a departure from Chloe’s usual elegant and feminine scents.

The notes include Mirabelle plum, freesia, and oakmoss, and it unfolds in a way that feels both exotic and citrusy, with a hint of spiciness, possibly ginger.

I’d say this perfume is perfect for the spring and summer months, but will also be more than suitable for the colder months of the year too.

Chloe Nomad doesn’t undergo a significant transformation, but it’s a pleasant scent that lasts about seven to eight hours on my skin, with medium projection. It’s not a loud fragrance but sits close to the skin, making it suitable for various occasions.

Top Notes: Orange, Lemon, Bergamot, Freesia

Middle Notes: Peach, Rose, Jasmine

Base Notes: Oakmoss, Patchouli, Sandalwood, White Musk, Amber

What we liked

  • A fun, adventurous perfume
  • Very good longevity
  • Great for spring and summer

Chloé Love Story Eau de Parfum Review

Love Story is a floral-fresh scent and promoted based on ideas of romance. The product was released in 2014, and is absolutely ideal for use during summer.

In addition to being one of the most popular perfumes by Chloé for everyday use, it has also emerged as a common choice for women to wear for dates and on their wedding day.

The scent itself is largely based around the presence of orange blossom notes, although rose, peach, neroli and musk are also detectable.

In the base, you’ll find musk and cedarwood, contributing to a woody baseline. While not officially listed, I detect a subtle maras note and a touch of oak moss, adding to its overall clean and crisp character.

Despite its clean impression, it’s a delicate, romantic fragrance with a girly innocence that might appeal more to younger wearers.

In terms of performance, the perfume provides above-average longevity, although reapplication could be needed if worn over the course of a full working day.

Top Notes: Neroli, Pear, Lemon, Grapefruit

Middle Notes: Orange Blossom, Rose, Peach, Stephanotis, Blackcurrant

Base Notes: Cedarwood, Musk, Patchouli

What we liked

  • An excellent summer scent
  • Popular for wedding days
  • Has a romantic quality

Roses de Chloé Eau de Toilette Review

Roses de Chloé is an eau de toilette spray, which was released by the Chloé brand in 2013. Said to be inspired by the rose gardens of Paris, the scent is floral-fresh and was created by Michel Almairac and Mylène Alran.

Aside from the rose notes that you might anticipate with this perfume, some of the other notes that shine through include bergamot, lemon, magnolia, apple, peach, amber and wood.

The fragrance is relatively slow to develop, and delivers solid longevity, ensuring it will see you through most of a day before reapplication may be required.

It’s perfect for spring, summer, and early warm fall days, suitable for various occasions like daytime, evenings, or the office. However, I’d avoid wearing it to loud places like clubs.

While it’s on the pricey side, I recommend trying a smaller version first, especially if you’re into mature, elegant fragrances.

Overall, Chloe Roses is a floral masterpiece that I highly recommend, particularly for those who appreciate a fresh, long-lasting, and elegant scent.

Top Notes: Bergamot, , Lemon, , Tarragon

Middle Notes: Damask Rose, Magnolia, Peach, Apple, Blackcurrant, Cedar

Base Notes: Wood, Amber, White Musk

What we liked

  • Pleasant and inoffensive
  • Great for use in the workplace

See By Chloé Eau de Parfum Review

See By Chloé Eau de Parfum (stylized as SeeByChloé) is a floral-fruity scent from Chloé, which launched in 2012.

The fragrance is a delightful blend of vanilla, bergamot, jasmine, and apple. The apple note adds a fresh and fruity touch that I absolutely adore. It’s not an overpowering scent but rather understated and classy.

While the perfume can certainly be used all year long, it works especially well in spring, summer and fall months. Perfect for those moments when you want to make a statement without being too loud.

As for performance, See By Chloé offers good longevity, although application could be required over the course of a full working day.

The moderate projection is also ideal for situations where you want to smell nice, without your scent becoming overpowering for others.

Chloé Love Story Eau Sensuelle Review

Love Story Eau Sensuelle is an eau de parfum, released by Chloé in 2017. It was the third fragrance in the Love Story collection, following the release of the original eau de parfum in 2014, and the eau de toilette version in 2016.

Love Story Eau Sensuelle brings a different vibe to the original. While orange blossom remains the star, heliotrope, yuzu, and lemon make distinct appearances, creating a citrusy twist.

Passion flower, pear, and musk persist, with a woody amber base. It’s a more citrusy take on the original, offering a refreshing alternative.

The perfume works very well as a fall or winter fragrance, but it is perfectly suitable for both the spring and summer too, and this helps to give it great versatility.

It can be worn for dinners, dates, nights out, and intimate encounters, but will also work well as an everyday fragrance and should be subtle enough for professional settings.

Top Notes: Orange Blossom, Lemon, Pear

Middle Notes: Passionflower, Heliotrope

Base Notes: Amber, Sandalwood, Cedar, Musk

What we liked

  • Among the most versatile Chloé perfumes
  • Especially great for winter and fall
  • Has a distinctly sensual quality
