For starters, the opening includes cassis and gunpowder in addition to zesty bergamot, while the ubiquitous marshmallow is absent. Upon the initial spray, the gunpowder note gives a smoky powderiness, transitioning into a sweet, powdery fragrance as it dries down.

While some describe it as spicy, I personally don’t detect spiciness or overwhelming patchouli, its more of a warm, inviting scent.

This intense fragrance is best for nighttime or winter/fall wear and will appeal to those who prefer less sweet offerings. It performs exceptionally and will definitely get you noticed.

For a designer fragrance, it doesn’t come with a hefty price tag for a designer fragrance—at least not like Kilian’s.

Nobile 1942 Perdizione Perfume Review

Perdizione was introduced in 2016. It’s slightly different from Kilian Love Don’t Be Shy but still retains some notable overlaps. 

Here, orange blossom, ylang-ylang, and neroli at the core play a dominant role while vanilla lurks in the background. The Eau de Parfum is less sugary and lacks the caramel accord, but vanilla and musk are on hand to give the perfume a sweet vibe.

This fragrance welcomes you with the refreshing, zingy bergamot and grapefruit accords. Soon, these yield to a floral core brimming with orange blossom, turning the scent into a sparkly sensual concoction that evokes a summer night. Finally, a musky vanilla base with hints of wood ends the fragrance progression.

Of note is the beautiful orange blossom accord. It’s so delectable, creamy, and refreshing, yet it stays elegant and sexy. Moreover, the zesty citrus accents balance out the syrupy sweetness, ensuring it doesn’t become cloyingly sweet. 

For someone looking for something in the general direction of Kilian Love Don’t Be Shy, this cologne will fit the bill. It’s also less expensive though you’ll still spend upwards of $100.
