How I Tested and Selected The Best Strawberry Perfumes
When it came to finding the perfect strawberry perfumes, I took my time exploring different options. I looked at perfumes from famous brands and talented perfumers. I even used some perfumes that I already owned, so I had firsthand experience with them.
I paid special attention to ensuring the strawberry scent was authentic, steering clear of any artificial notes. My aim was to strike a harmonious balance, allowing the delightful strawberry aroma to shine as the star while complementing it with other pleasing fragrances.
I assessed how these perfumes performed across various seasons and occasions. It’s a common misconception that such scents are suitable only for daytime and summer wear, but I discovered that this notion couldn’t be further from the truth.
It was also important to me that these fragrances didn’t fade away quickly but also didn’t become too strong.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh Sunshine
Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh Sunshine Review
Introduced in 2019, Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh Sunshine is a laid-back, fruity fragrance, with subtle strawberry scents.
With the fresh and distinctly flirty qualities of this fragrance, I would say like many other Daisy Products, this is most suitable for younger women, or those who like the outdoors, and it is especially well-suited to spring and summer months.
I decided to test this limited edition strawberry perfume on a typical workday, following the many recommendations for daily wear. To my delight, its qualities truly shine, making it ideal for everyday use. The non-offensive aroma lends itself perfectly to various situations, from casual activities to more formal evenings. Its versatility ensures it never feels out of place, making it a go-to choice for any occasion.
In addition to the strawberry top notes, there are detectable elements like pear, mimosa, and heliotrope. It did remind me a lot of the original Daisy fragrance, especially in the first few minutes after application, but it eventually settles down to a lighter, more stripped-down scent, with solid versatility.
Top Notes: Strawberry, Pear
Middle Notes: Mimosa
Base Notes: Heliotrope, Cassis
What we liked
- Light, youthful and versatile
- Perfect for spring and summer
- A good choice for everyday use

The product is marketed by L’Oréal and is sold as a fun and vibrant perfume for women of all ages.
Upon testing the product I can say it does offer good longevity and I liked how it is slightly more intimate than many floral and strawberry perfume products on the market, albeit while still providing a good level of projection and sillage.
I love how this fragrance embodies unapologetic femininity, making it a go-to scent throughout the year. Its floral and fruity notes make it the perfect companion for spring and summer, adding a touch of freshness to my days. When colder months arrive, its earthy qualities bring warmth and depth, making it just as enchanting during winter.

Cartier La Panthere for Women
Cartier La Panthere for Women Review
La Panthere for Women is an eau de parfum spray, which was first released by Cartier in 2014. It has emerged as one of the most popular strawberry scented perfume on the market, owing to its combination of longevity, value for money, and versatility. It is described as a ‘feline-floral’ perfume, with fruity tones.
The scent itself I found slightly unusual, with its fruity top notes disappearing fairly quickly, giving way to more floral scents. A perk is that it’s not overly summery though, and I discovered it transitions seamlessly into colder seasons.
When I applied it in the morning, the perfume pleasantly lingered throughout my entire workday, proving its longevity. The middle and base notes, while neutral, added a touch of sophistication, making it ideal for any occasion.
What stood out was its noticeable projection; its presence was substantial enough that those around me could definitely sense the captivating fragrance, making a statement without being overwhelming.
Top Notes: Strawberry, Apple, Apricot, Rhubarb
Middle Notes: Gardenia, Rose, Pear
Base Notes: Musk, Patchouli, Oakmoss
What we liked
- Can be worn anywhere, at any time
- Good value for money
- Scent lasts for many hours
Mon Paris by Yves Saint Laurent
Mon Paris by Yves Saint Laurent Review
Mon Paris by Yves Saint Laurent was released in 2016 and is marketed by L’Oréal. It is a highly feminine perfume, which is the product of a collaboration between well-known perfumers Olivier Cresp, Dora Baghriche and Harry Fremont.
I found the fragrance itself to be pleasant, unobtrusive, and versatile, as it can be easily worn at any time of the year, and for almost any occasion, including work, social situations, romantic nights out, or around the house.
The top notes include strawberry, pear, raspberry and orange, and this fruity beginning then makes way for middle notes that include datura, peony and jasmine. The base notes, meanwhile, include moss, vanilla and musk.
After putting this perfume to the test, I can confidently affirm its impressive longevity. It’s a versatile choice suitable for women of all ages who share my preference for sweet scents.

Marc Jacobs Rain for Women
Marc Jacobs Rain for Women Review
Rain by Marc Jacobs was originally released in 2006 as part of the brand’s Splash collection. The much-loved fragrance was re-designed and re-released in 2016 as a limited edition perfume.
During my research on this fragrance, I found it is primarily known for its clean, aquatic qualities, with a wild strawberry top note that hits immediately. Upon testing this perfume, the fruitier top notes soon give way to watery middle notes and base notes that include musk, amber, and tree moss, so it’s definitely less sweet than others on my list.
While Rain by Marc Jacobs is marketed as a women’s perfume, it is extremely versatile and I reckon it could easily be worn by men too. The crisp, fresh fragrance is perfect for the spring and summer months and is well-suited for every day, business, and leisure use.
It lasted on my skin for several hours and had low projection, which was great for me as I do tend to prefer more subtle perfumes.
Top Notes: Strawberry, Clementine, Grass
Middle Notes: Water, Sunflower, White Orchid
Base Notes: Amber, Tree Moss, Musk
What we liked
- Suitable for women and men
- Fresh, aquatic qualities
- Subtle, with low projection

I aimed to create a diverse selection in my top 8, combining high-end and more affordable fragrances. When I discovered Burberry had a popular scent with delightful strawberry notes, I was eager to compare it in my options.
In terms of the scent itself, the top notes include strawberry, raspberry and cherry, while the middle notes are jasmine and violet. The base notes for the perfume include musk, vanilla and amber.

Vera Wang Princess of Hearts Review
Princess of Hearts is a fruity, sweet perfume launched by Vera Wang in 2016. It is a strawberry perfume, with watermelon and bergamot top notes, jasmine and lily of the valley middle notes, and a vanilla and whipped cream base.
This strawberry fragrance is marketed by Coty and has a youthful quality, straight away after unboxing I thought the bottle was designed more toward younger women. With that being said, the fragrance was quite versatile when I applied it to my skin, with the notes shining throughout the day.
In terms of longevity, Princess of Hearts lasted on my skin for around four to five hours, which is definitely less than all other perfumes on my list and means it may need to be re-applied if worn for the whole day.
Having said that, the scent itself is well-suited for almost any occasion, from casual settings to business meetings and dates. The bottle is also heart-shaped, providing a fun and young overall aesthetic.
Top Notes: Strawberry, Watermelon, Bergamot
