Vera Wang has become one of the most iconic names in the fashion industry. When she was getting ready to get married (this was back when she was working at Vogue Magazine), she realized that there wasn’t a lot of choice for women’s wedding dresses. Like any respectable girl boss, she turned to design her own!
Since then, Vera Wang’s perfumes have become an essential part of her fashion line; women of all ages have grown up wearing her fragrances.
If you’re looking for the right perfume to start your Vera Wang journey, or if you’re looking for a Vera Wang gift for a loved one, look no further. We’ll break down some of the best Vera Wang perfumes available to buy.
In a Rush' Round-Up
How I Tested and Selected The Best Vera Wang Perfumes
To ensure a well-rounded evaluation, I enlisted the help of my mum and sister, considering the varying opinions on which age range Vera Wang truly caters to. This collaborative approach brought diverse perspectives, helping me pinpoint fragrances that appeal to a broad audience.
Determined to go beyond the obvious, I made it a mission to include a variety of notes and options that might not immediately come to mind when thinking of Vera Wang. This meant exploring fragrances with unique blends, and stepping outside the traditional boundaries to uncover hidden gems within the collection.
Despite Vera Wang being a high-end brand, I was pleasantly surprised to discover affordable options that maintained the brand’s hallmark quality. Including these budget-friendly choices allowed me to create a list that caters to a spectrum of preferences and budgets.

Vera Wang Princess Eau de Toilette
Vera Wang Princess Eau de Toilette Review
Vera Wang Princess is one of the brand’s most iconic fragrances, and the one that has gone on to launch a thousand flankers — or 11, at the time of writing, which includes Flower Princess, Rock Princess, Princess Noir, and Princess Night, which we’ll look at down below.
Princess opens with bright, sugary fruits. The initial scents that popped out to me were green apple and vanilla. This sugary quality was then balanced by the tartness of the apple and a slight boozy shimmer as the perfume settled onto my skin.
After a few minutes, the summer fruits take center stage — not quite straying into tropical territory but reminiscent of lazy summer days.
The apricot, guava, and orange bring a sunny effervescence, while the tuberose and lily give the fragrance a soft, flowery quality. In the base, the florals grow warmer and cozier, and the amber and woody notes lend the scent a delicate sensuality.
After all testing, we decided that this is a very sweet, youthful fragrance. It lasted about four hours on the skin which isn’t the best when it comes to longevity, but the scent you do get before it fades over time is really charming.
We love this fragrance, and it wins the top spot as our best Vera Wang perfume for women. You could wear this to a daytime wedding, lunch with your girlfriends on a garden terrace, or a romantic weekend breakfast. It’s best suited to daytime wear.
Top Notes: water lily, apricot, green apple, mandarin orange
Middle Notes: guava, dark chocolate, tiare flower, tuberose
Base Notes: vanilla, amber, woods
What we liked
- The brand’s best-selling perfume
- Young, vivacious energy
- Gorgeous bottle (the cap turns into a ring that you can wear!)
Vera Wang Princess Night Eau de Toilette
Vera Wang Princess Night Eau de Toilette Review
Released in 2012, Princess Night was the 6th of the Princess line. This time the familiar heart-shaped bottle is adorned with midnight-colored gems.
Right off the bat, Princess Night comes on strong with a burst of red fruit. My favorite thing about the top notes was the sweet vanilla which mimics Princess DNA slightly here, but the fruits give it a jammy richness that elevates it from the original.
While the original Princess perfume relies on yellow, daytime fruit accords, this one leans into dark red berries that make it feel richer, more mature, and more sensual which is why personally I prefer it to the original princess and would say it is a glittering date night scent rather than a by-the-beach afternoon fragrance.
After about twenty minutes, the floral notes of the jasmine and orange blossom start to come through to give the fruits dimension and complexity. We can see the original Princess peeking through, but the florals are richer and more intimate.
This is where the perfume reaches its sexiness peak, with red fruit and flowers playing side by side. This stage lasts for a few hours, depending on your skin. Then the berries mellow out and jasmine and vanilla stay close to the skin, settling into a warm, snuggly, vanilla-musky base.
While still best for women in their teens to twenties, Princess Night is more self-assured and tactile than many of its predecessors. It lasts about four to six hours before reapplying with moderate to long sillage.
This fragrance is a good choice for a first date, an evening wedding, or a night out dancing under the stars. Perfect for creating a little mystery.
Top Notes: raspberry, watermelon, berries
Middle Notes: jasmine, rose, frangipani, orange blossom
Base Notes: vanilla, musk, woods
What we liked
- Glamorous and vivacious
- Shelf-worthy bottle
- More complex than its predecessors
Vera Wang Signature Eau de Parfum
Vera Wang Signature Eau de Parfum Review
Vera Wang’s house EDT opens with a soft, powdery burst of lily and iris. The powdery floral aspects dance with the brighter facets of orange and bergamot, which lend it a cool, sunny quality, like a weekend morning when the streets are just beginning to wake.
After about twenty minutes, the powder smooths out, and the heart comes through in creamy, sophisticated white florals. Jasmine and stephanotis flowers bring warmth and sensuality to the fragrance while a dry, dusty rose plays in and out of a creamy, vanilla-like gardenia blossom.
The scent never stops feeling clean and fresh, but the base of sandalwood and musk anchor the scent and keep the florals from being overpowering. The woods come through towards the end, and the jasmine and musk blend together to create a “my skin but better” fragrance that’s rich but inoffensive.
This is one of the longer-lasting Vera Wang fragrances, lasting around eight to ten hours on the skin. It’s mature and sophisticated without being “old ladyish.” This would be a perfect bridal perfume; you could also wear it for another life-changing occasion like a graduation, christening, etc. An instant classic.
This is an elegant, contemporary take on classic perfumery that can be worn by women of any age.
Top Notes: mandarin orange, bergamot, lily
Middle Notes: jasmine, rose, iris, gardenia
Base Notes: stephanotis, sandalwood, musk
What we liked
- The brand original
- Very long-lasting
- Great for year-round wear
Vera Wang Look Eau de Parfum
Vera Wang Look Eau de Parfum Review
Compared to Vera Wang’s other fragrance offerings, this perfume bottle is disarmingly uncomplicated: clean, unfussy lines, a trim title, the brand logo tastefully understated. This is a perfume that doesn’t need a lot of hype — it lets the fragrance speak for itself.
‘Look’ opens with a refreshing burst of damp, crisp greenery. It brought to mind ripening apples and fresh-cut grass the first few moments after spraying on my skin.
This perfume lacks some of the sweetness that is present in many other Vera Wang perfumes, which I enjoyed as many of her perfumes do tend to be on the sweeter side, this was a nice change. This scent never gets too sharp; the juiciness of the green apple is tempered by the soft, gentle sunniness of the litchi and mandarin.
After about fifteen minutes, the bright fruitiness settles down into the clean floral heart of lily, jasmine, and other white flowers. At this point, this becomes a predominantly floral perfume, though it retains the fresh-air quality of the opening. Unlike many white floral fragrances, Look never gets too heavy. Instead, it has a sense of weightlessness to it.
This perfume will last most of the day before eventually settling into a musky undertone with a very slight earthiness from the oakmoss and patchouli.
It is one of the most long-lasting Vera Wang perfumes, remaining present on the skin for eight hours or longer before reapplying.
I’d recommend wearing this perfume to work or in other closed environments, but you could also wear it to a summer festival, a day out shopping with friends, or a casual summer garden wedding.
Top Notes: green apple, litchi, mandarin orange
Middle Notes: lily, jasmine, freesia
Base Notes: musk, patchouli, vanilla, oakmoss
What we liked
- Elegant packaging
- Impeccably blended
- Excellent longevity
Vera Wang Be Jeweled Eau de Parfum
Vera Wang Be Jeweled Eau de Parfum Review
Upon unboxing this perfume, I was presently surprised with the gorgeous packaging, whilst some may find it a bit too much, I found it an exciting, more mature design than other Vera Wang fragrances such as princess.
The scent opens up with a sort of champagne burst before it shimmies into the ultra-rich, velvety red currant and pomegranate notes. As the champagne top note settles onto the skin, passionfruit and honeysuckle come through and lend a yummy sweetness to it alongside bursts of pink petals.
The red fruits and honeyed florals stay more or less consistent in the background of the scent for about two to three hours.
Be Jeweled feels like wrapping up in a warm theatre curtain before it slowly descends into a warm, comforting musky base of soft petals and wood.
Be Jeweled has a long sillage but does dissipate a little faster than some other Vera Wang perfumes, drifting off after about three to four hours. I’d recommend this as an afternoon or evening scent, great for date nights or partying with friends.
Because the base is quite gentle, you could try layering it with an ambery scent for more formal evening wear.
Top Notes: pomegranate, champagne, red currant
Middle Notes: passionfruit, peony, honeysuckle
Base Notes: sandalwood, musk
What we liked
- Instagram-worthy bottle
- Showstopping opening
- Gives a sense of glamour
Vera Wang Embrace Eau de Toilette
Vera Wang Embrace Eau de Toilette Review
This is a Vera Wang perfume for women who swoon over timeless moments, cry during sad movies, and wear wildflowers in their hair.
Bergamot and mandarin bring a gentle lightness to this Sunday-scented cashmere fragrance. The citrus top notes are sparkling but never sharp or overpowering.
After a few minutes, it descends into the sweet, powdery, floral heart that characterizes this perfume. Periwinkle brings an unexpected “blue” facet to the traditional floral notes of iris, jasmine, and violet.
The blue and violet floral notes grow warmer after a few hours, never losing their innocence as they begin mixing with the creamy base notes. Vanilla and a sweet whipped cream accord give this perfume a soft and snuggly quality, while benzoin resin gives it a layer of richness and keeps the sugary aspect from being overpowering.
It lasts for about five hours on the skin. This would be a perfect scent for a morning wedding or a casual garden party with family and friends, or even at home as you snuggle up with a book or a show.
Unlike some of Vera Wang’s other perfumes, this is not a perfume to wear to a nightclub or a red-carpet experience.
Top Notes: bergamot, mandarin orange
Middle Notes: iris, violet, jasmine, periwinkle
Base Notes: vanilla, benzoin, whipped cream
What we liked
- Timeless scent
- Appropriate for casual or formal use
- Gorgeous florals
Vera Wang Lovestruck Eau de Parfum
Vera Wang Lovestruck Eau de Parfum Review
Adorned in rich magenta ribbon and a collectible bouquet of wine-colored flowers, this Vera Wang perfume was inspired by Romeo and Juliet and the feeling of being “inexplicably, hopelessly in love.”
Lovestruck has a rich, island floral quality from the guava fruit and the mandarin orange. The angelica note brings a unique spicy earthiness that gives Lovestruck an unusual facet without ever being too distracting.
The angelica dissipates after a few minutes to half an hour, and the island fruits settle into the background without ever disappearing completely, allowing the floral heart of lotus and tuberose to shine through.
The bold florals soften into a classy, refined finish as the underlying musk and woods come into play. The fragrance becomes softer and lighter without losing its central fruity-floral personality, leaving a seductive trail of summer memories.
The longevity isn’t the best, when I tested the fragrance it only lasted for around five hours before needing to be reapplied. It has a bold opening but turns quite light in the latter half of the journey; this would be best for daytime wear.
You could wear Lovestruck while out shopping, to a daytime concert, or on long, romantic walks through new places. This is one of the best Vera Wang perfumes to take on holiday (especially if you’re looking for love on the way!).
Top Notes: guava, mandarin orange, angelica
Middle Notes: lotus, tuberose
Base Notes: musk, woods
What we liked
- Collectible cap decoration
- Will get you lots of compliments
- Fronted by Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester
