Undoubtedly, it is a real treasure, with its opulent detailing, rich colors, and luxurious look. 

The bottle features a perfectly curved snakeskin cap. Moreover, you can use the golden chain to carry the package as a magnet securely holds down the lid.

Printed on the face of the bottle is the fragrance name, Decadence, in bold letters. And so is the brand name.

Marc Jacobs Perfume Decadence is dark, mysterious, classy, and sensual. At the same time, it has a sweet and fresh aroma that makes it endearing.

The fragrance sports a sultry opening. It unfurls with juicy Italian plum underlying a glamorous iris flower and a spicy, earthy, almost oriental saffron leading to a luxurious core featuring Bulgarian rose, jasmine sambac, and orris. The final stage unleashes liquid amber, papyrus woods, and vetiver in a sumptuous trail dripping with sensuality.

Many users describe the opening as striking since it is powdery and robust yet sweet and earthy. A prominent iris accord is a reason for the perfume’s powdery quality. On the other hand, the dry down is smoky, woodsy, and super soft. 

The base is tinged with traces of sweet, resinous amber, fused with an unusual warm papyrus accord and green vetiver facets. The latter provides a bitter/smoky, woodsy element to the now complex formulation. To separate the two layers, a floral heart comes in with a trace of earthy accents.  

How Does Decadence Smell?

Decadence is inoffensive and clean smelling. In simple words, it smells utterly fantastic! 

One thing to note is that this is not a generic fragrance. The blend of notes is exotic, unexpected, and pretty exciting, lending the perfume a mysterious yet elegant quality. This is one of the most enticing and distinctive perfumes you’ll ever come across. It can also be dramatic, with some users reporting it smells like pickles.

Still, you either love it or hate it. Be warned, though. You might dislike Decadence perfume at first but end up liking it – it has a way of growing on you.

Marc Jacobs Decadence perfume is a cold weather scent. This means it shines best in cooler climates, such as autumn and winter. It can also work for a less hot summer.
