Chanel is a staple in the fashion world and one of the most iconic fragrance houses. Most scents from the brand are considered classics, and each fragrance has its unique Chanel character.Â
Widely known for some of its most famous creations, such as Chanel No.5, and Chanel Madmossiile, Chanel uses only the highest quality European ingredients and materials.Â
In this article, we’ll take a look at the very best Chanel perfumes available on the market for women, which are wonderfully sophisticated and easy to wear.
What are the Best Women's Chanel Perfumes?
What Do Chanel Perfumes Smell Like?
To describe the women’s perfume collection, we’d say that Chanel perfumes are simple, sophisticated, and practical.
When shopping Channel perfumes, you’ll mainly find two different types of Chanel fragrances for her.Â
Classic Crowd pleasers: These Chanel fragrances enjoy a classic, easy-to-wear complexion, usually ageless or leaning towards the mature side of things.Â
Abstract Youthful Complexions: Chanel perfumes blend some of the most unusual notes in a single complexion, usually unisex or highly feminine.Â

Chanel No. 5
Chanel No. 5 Review
Synonyms with chicness and almost ageless, the range notes in Chanel No.5 are addictive and will have you always demanding more.Â
Tangy, powdery, and perfectly intertwined to include all the enchanting notes, this fragrance ranks amongst the youthful abstract creations we described earlier in this article.Â
What makes this fragrance different than all other Chanel fragrances is its blend of inclusive notes and the harmonious rhythm they enjoy.Â
Although almost everyone can agree that the scent is attractive and immaculate, it’s important to note that it can smell slightly different on each person.Â
We love many ingredients and elements that go into this expensive-smelling perfume, but what attracts us and many others most is the inclusion of aldehydes. This fragrance made the introduction of aldehydes popular with colognes and perfumes.Â
You can find the same ingredient in many other overly popular fragrances, such as Tom Ford Metallique, and Amouage Gold Woman.
The inclusion of these notes was proven to be overly successful and started a whole line of different Chanel perfumes inspired by this masterpiece.Â
The line of flankers covers, a range of floral-enhanced versions, along with a failed attempt to make this fragrance stronger.
Top Notes: Aldehydes, Ylang-Ylang, Neroli
Middle Notes: Jasmine, Rose
Base Notes: Vanilla, Sandalwood, Vetiver
What we liked
- A classic scent for everyday
- Sophisticated feminine aura
- Excellent signature scent
Chanel Coco Mademosielle
Chanel Coco Mademosielle Review
Ranking second to the well-known classic is a fragrance of reality similar status, and probably the first on every other Best Coco Chanel perfume list.Â
Another classic from the Chanel perfume collection, Chanel coco Mademoiselle is best worn by mature middle-aged women due to its sophisticated complexion.Â
The reason this fragrance tends to suit the more mature personality and look is due to its potent vibrant notes.Â
Chanel Coco Mademoiselle enjoys impressive sillage lasting and projecting highly, which may come off as pushy on younger ladies.Â
Chanel Coco Mademoiselle is the ultimate statement fragrance on this list, it exudes confidence and turns heads in the room screaming I’m that woman.Â
Perfect for date nights, formal meetings, and everything in between, if you’re looking for a please-all masterpiece Coco Mademoiselle is the one for you.Â
To make things easier for you, if you could only pick one from this list of the top coco Chanel fragrances, pick this one.

Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Intense
Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Intense Review
No, we’re not overdoing it by promoting this fragrance twice, but the lustful notes are just far too extraordinary!
Although we think that the original Chanel Coco Mademoiselle is perfect the way it is, Chanel thought otherwise.Â
The brand dropped this flanker right after seeing the tremendous success of the original, and people absolutely loved it. The level of intensity found in this fragrance is the definition of overwhelming and polarizing.Â
While the fragrance is designed to last around 10 – 12 hours, we’d give it a solid 4/5 for longevity, lasting anywhere between 8 – 10 hours on a cold, windy day.Â
Remarkably similar to the original, this Chanel fragrance differentiates itself with nothing but potency and sweetness.Â
Perfect for the winter season, or to buy along with the light original and smell immaculate all year long while using Chanel Coco Mademoiselle intense for extreme weather.
Top Notes: Sicilian Orange, Calabrian Bergamot
Middle Notes: Rose, Fruity Notes, Jasmine
Base Notes: Patchouli, Madagascar Vanilla, Tonka Bean, White Musk, Labdanum
What we liked
- A strictly natural scent
- Potent and expressive
- Perfect for layering
Chanel Coco Noir
Chanel Coco Noir Review
Noir is a fragrance that is perfect for the winter and fall seasons, and it is a very classy scent with modern elegance. Â
Patchouli is the critical enhancer in many great fragrances, but to have a feminine scent built around the ingredient is impressive to pull off.Â
This is a dark, addictive scent inclusive of everything from white musk to sandalwood and tonka bean, empowered with the traditional feminine notes of white florals.Â
Patchouli accompanies notes of plum, rose, and other fruity notes to create a perfect contemporary balance.
Reminding us of Amouage fragrances and Replica’s By The Fire Place in its royal blend of woody, citrusy, sensual notes.Â
If you’re going for mature, seductive, and sophisticated, this fragrance may be a perfect match for your taste and preference.Â
Top Notes: Grapefruit, Bergamot, Orange
Middle Notes: Rose, Geranium, Jasmine, Narcissus, Peach
Base Notes: Patchouli, Sandalwood, Olibanum, Tonka Bean, Vanille, White Musk, Cloves, Benzoin
What we liked
- Bold and attention-grabbing
- Perfect for cold winters
- Perfect for layering
Chanel 1932 Les Exclusifs
Chanel 1932 Les Exclusifs Review
Despite being light and expressive, Les Excluifs de Chanel 1932 enjoys impressive longevity and still manages to maintain the classical character of Chanel perfumes.Â
Both elegant and perfect for everyday use, Les Excluifs de Chanel 1932 is a subtle scent that opens on notes of hidden aldehydes and citrusy notes.Â
The dry down of Les Excluifs de Chanel 1932, however, is woodier than anything else, and it is challenging to find an excellent woody feminine balance.Â
One of the few season-specific fragrances, Les Excluifs de Chanel 1932 is a summer/spring scent, perfect for formal wear.Â
While this Chanel Scent lives up to the classical Chanel standard like any other Chanel perfume for her, it’s more of an ageless scent for any and every occasion.
Top Notes: Aldehydes, Neroli, Bergamot
Middle Notes: Jasmine, Lilac, Ylang-Ylang, Rose, Carnation
Base Notes: Orris Root, Musk, Ambrette (Musk Mallow), Vetiver, Sandalwood, Opoponax, Vanilla, Coumarin, Incense
What we liked
- It's a rich floral blend
- Balance of feminine woodiness
- Seductive yet formal
Chanel Gabrielle
Chanel Gabrielle Review
While the brand focused on creating flankers, and flankers of those flankers, due to the massive success of the originals, only a little was going into launching a new original.Â
Released in 2017, the fragrance has been long awaited and is named after the fashion designer and brand owner.Â
Pillar fragrances come before flankers and pave the way for a potential new collection of different versions.Â
Although we find this fragrance is highly similar to Chanel Coco Mademoiselle in its feminine fruity notes, there are a few significant differences.
It is clean and bright, with sweet orange notes accenting the rather delicate accord of white flowers, a well-blended yet unmistakable scent. Â
Four prominent florals dominate the fragrance leading the way with Ylang Ylang and moving to include a pure heart of orange blossom, Jasmine, and tuberose.Â
Chanel advertises the fragrance to be the choice for a woman who is attentive to her needs and speaks her mind. A solar woman who truly shines as she fully expresses her personality.
Top Notes: Tangerine, Bergamot, Orange, Lemon, Grapefruit
Middle Notes: Neroli, Green Notes, Lily-of-the-Valley
Base Notes: Patchouli, White Musk
What we liked
- Its seamless blend of white florals
- An inclusion of slightly masculine green notes
- Perfect for layering
Chanel Paris Biarritz
Chanel Paris Biarritz Review
One of our favorite Chanel perfumes is this unisex masterpiece, that balances green citrusy notes like no other in the collection of Chanel perfumes.Â
Paris Biarritz has a light soapy citrus scent with woody, green, and musky aromas exchanging places during the dry down.
It’s something we’ve experienced with plenty of other scents, but the watery/sea vibe we get does give it some distinction.
Opening on both masculine notes, the fragrance then shifts to include everything floral in a flawless blend.
Although this fragrance could easily be replaced by so many other fresh sea-inspired aromas, what differentiates it from the rest of the fresh airy perfumes, however, is the feminine masculine shift.Â
Perfect for everyday wear during the warmer seasons, Chanel Paris Biarritz makes an amazing signature scent you and the people around you will love.
Top Notes: Tangerine, Bergamot, Orange, Lemon, Grapefruit
Middle Notes: Neroli, Green Notes, Lily-of-the-Valley
Base Notes: White Musk, Patchouli
What we liked
- Playful balance of fruit and floral
- Potent, projecting boldly
- Uplifting aura of freshness
Chanel Chance Eau Tendre
Chanel Chance Eau Tendre Review
Chance Eau Tendre is a fresh fragrance that features top notes of quince and pink pepper, middle notes of jasmine and white musk, and base notes of iris and vetiver.Â
Chanel Chance Eau Tendre is also well-liked for its long-lasting performance. Aside from its excellent longevity, Chanel Chance Eau Tendre is designed to also have better performance than the original.Â
A great choice for special summer/spring occasions or for those who want a light fragrance that actually lasts throughout the day.
While this fragrance is overly popular amongst all ages, this fragrance is best suitable for younger-aged ladies.Â
More of a summery fragrance than anything else, this Chanel Chance flanker adds the perfect fruity balance to your favorite Chanel perfume.
Top Notes: Quince, Grapefruit
Middle Notes: Hyacinth, Jasmine
Base Notes: Musk, Iris, Virginia Cedar, Amber
What we liked
- Perfect for hot summer days
- Light and expressive
- Excellent longevity for its potency
