If you’re a part of the A.R.M.Y., you’ve probably split long hours into daydreaming about Jungkook and finding out everything you can about the Golden Maknae (we’re right there with you!).
Given that he’s highly sensitive to scents and loves smelling good, it’s unsurprising that perfumes take up substantial space on Jungkook’s dresser table.
The Korean star is a self-professed fan of good fragrances, so whether you want to smell like him or make everything around you smell like him (we get it), here’s a guide, through careful (and happy) perusal of Bangtan bomb videos and Jungkook interviews, to the perfumes that the K-pop sensation uses!
Jungkook’s Favorite Perfumes
Though the Golden Maknae’s favorite smell is soap, he definitely doesn’t shy away from playing around with fragrances, ranging from Bvlgari to Victoria’s Secret.
Here are some of his favorite scents and everything you need to know about them.
W.Dressroom New York 97 Eau de Cologne
Jungkook not only swears by New York 97—he’s the face of the perfume, in what seems to be his fragrance-ad debut. Some sources also say that fellow bandmate Taehyung gifted Jungkoook this perfume.
Either way, this eau de cologne, also known as the Dress and Clear Living Perfume, smells gorgeous (just like our favorite BTS singer!), with delicious top notes of clove, bergamot, pear, lime, and anise, heart notes of lily of the valley, violet, and rose, and deep base notes of vanilla, honey, amber, and musk.
All these notes come together to create a unique, beautiful scent that blends and exhibits the soft sweetness of vanilla with the freshness of lime and the depth of musk.
The water-based fragrance is versatile and is suited for use on furniture and fabric along with the skin. It’s also 99% anti-bacterial, so you not only smell great but remain shielded against bacteria.
Long-lasting and refreshing, we can see how Jungkook would include this simple but innovative fragrance in his list of favorites!
Victoria’s Secret’s Noir Tease
Though it was launched in 2010, the Noir Tease still features in Jungkook’s wardrobe, according to his interview with a Japanese publication. The choice may surprise many, as the perfume is mainly targeted at women (as announced by the fashion house itself), but users know that it’s also a pleasantly masculine scent.
The Noir Tease brings together top notes of litchi, mandarin orange, red apple, and Anjou pear, heart notes of jasmine, blooming gardenia, freesia, sweet pea, and magnolia, and base notes of praline, black vanille, sandalwood, amber, musk, and benzoin.
According to the brand, the warm gourmand scent was inspired by flowers, juicy fruit, and fun, flirty games—a perfect contrast to Jungkook’s shy and sweet personality!
Sold in beautiful little glass flacons, adorned with a lace pattern and a gorgeous pink atomizer cap, this fragrance is available in quantities ranging from 1.7 to 22.75 ounces. The collection now also includes the Tease Candy Noir, a dark gourmand version of the Noir Tease, as well as the Tease Scented Body Lotion and the Tease Scented Body Mist.
Forment Signature Cotton Series Hug
Available exclusively in Korea (but now sold around the world on sites such as eBay thanks to its K-pop-induced spike in popularity), this fragrance is part of Forment’s signature Cotton series that also comprises the Cotton Kiss and Cotton Success sister scents.
The Cotton Hug perfume features lovely top notes of muguet that gracefully give way to the middle notes of orange flower, jasmine, and rose and base notes of cedarwood, patchouli, amber, and musk.
Cozy, intimate, light, and casual, the perfume has excellent sillage, lingering for up to 7 or 8 hours after the first spritz.
Bvlgari Omnia Paraiba Eau de Toilette
Though this perfume may be a “bit intense” and “not for everyone” according to Jungkook, we’d happily spray on the whole bottle if it meant smelling anything like the Golden Maknae!
The luxurious Bvlgari Omnia Paraiba Eau de Toilette, named after the rare, highly-valued, blue-green Paraiba tourmaline semi-precious stone, is a fruity, woody, floral fragrance that was launched in 2015 for women but has now become popular with all genders.
Blended by master perfumer Alberto Morillas, the exotic fragrance contains top notes of Bigarade bitter orange and Maracuja passionfruit, a nod to Brazil’s beaches, oceans, and jungles, followed by the floral heart notes of Brazilian gardenia and passion flower, and base notes of vetiver and cacao pod.
Unfortunately, Bvlgari discontinued its entire Omnia line, but if you’re lucky, you may be able to get your hands on a bottle at Walmart or on Amazon.
Other Jungkook Favorites
Some other perfumes that Jungkook seems to like, based on his videos and mentions in interviews:
- Victoria’s Secret Pure Seduction: Spotted next to him on a table in a gaming video, this body mist is all kinds of alluring, soft, and luxurious, a result of the harmonious marriage between sweet freesia and juicy red plum. Light, floral, flirty, and seductive, this perfume is an excellent all-rounder.
- L’Atelier des Subtils Eau de Coton: This fragrance is a part of the eau de toilette line born of a collaboration between VT Cosmetics and BTS and launched in 2019. The series contains seven unisex fragrances—one for each band member—and are the brainchildren of master perfumer Frederic Burtin.
This particular oriental-fougere scent contains top notes of clover and bergamot, heart notes of heliotrope, geranium, and cloves, and base notes of vanilla, sandalwood, ambergris, and patchouli. - Victoria’s Secret Love Spell: According to an interview, Jungkook likes the scent of this surprisingly affordable and beautiful-smelling perfume.
According to various fan reports, Jungkook also adores Philisophe Grace and Hermes’s Le Jardin range.
The Final Word
Now that you know what Jungkook probably smells like, it’s time to get stocking! Pick up these scents and even if Jungkook’s arms aren’t giving you a hug, his scent sure is.
