Hollister Wave 2 Eau de Toilette Spray Review

Topping the list of the best Hollister colognes is Wave 2 Eau de Toilette.

Launched in 2017, this fragrance is a perfect blend of aquatic freshness and manly boldness, ushering in a thirst for adventure, such as riding high waves as you surf.  

Wave 2 is an earthy, woody fragrance brimming with a deep sensuality. It contains notes from bergamot and white peppercorns, combined perfectly with lavender and herbaceous sage, then wrapped warmly with a base of musk and woodsy accords.

This scent smells great and ends in a beautiful floral, woody, and musky dry-down, making it one od the best-smelling Hollister colognes for men. 

You can wear The Hollister Wave 2 anytime, but I’d say it’s best worn as summer wear as the scent is fairly light and soft.

It is more mature than the first ‘Wave’ cologne, and while it starts as intensely floral, the scent settles to something more complex and musky and not as sweet.

If you’ve been to a Hollister store, you need no introduction to SoCal Eau de Cologne, as you have probably smelled it there. Introduced in 2007, this popular, youthful scent is simple with impressive depth and versatility. 

This unisex fragrance was a favourite of mine in my teens, it is truly designed for Southern California summer tropical beaches, as the name clearly shows.

SoCal sports a clean, sweet, woody, beachy aroma. Warmly vibrant and masculine, it features coconut with traces of herbal, earthy notes. The initial whiff of the coconut is quite intense, but the fragrance settles and softens as it dries down. 

The cologne has moderate sillage, a decent projection, and longevity (5-7 hours), this fragrance remains Hollister’s signature masculine scent to date. It’s perfect for date nights, evenings, and all-year casual wear. 

Just note that this Hollister perfume for him is bound to make an intense tropical impression on anyone near you. Apply sparingly – a little SoCal goes a long way.

Hollister Jake Men Cologne Review

Hollister Jake cologne is a simple male fragrance with a refreshing summer aura. The best-selling Hollister cologne was launched in 2005 and, like SoCal, represents California’s surf culture.

Hollister Jake Men Cologne boasts sweet, floral, and citrusy top notes atop a woody marine base. Nothing groundbreaking, yet the sexy fragrance smells clean, youthful, rugged, and decidedly masculine. 

The zesty top evolves into a woodier aroma as the perfume progresses, though the citrus element never fully disappears.  The scent is particularly unique in the way that it balances the woodier and citrusy aromas the entire time that it stays on. 

This cologne is not overly strong, meaning the performance is not anywhere near beast mode. Thus, you can wear it daily to the office, particularly during the summer or for a casual outing. 

The projection is not that great either, so Jake cologne is perfect for someone seeking a subtle yet pleasant scent. That said, it smells utterly fantastic.

Festival Vibes Eau de Toilette Spray Review

Another firm favorite from the Hollister cologne collection, Festival Vibes EDT, is an aromatic fougere fragrance with a summery vibe. This 2018 release comes encased in a striking blue-hued bottle, making a stunning addition to any cologne collection. 

The inspiration behind this aquatic scent is the cool, fun, energy-filled essence of a weekend festival or concert participant.

Festival Vibes sports a fresh aroma with sweet, earthy notes. The delightful scent opens with a bright, sweetly intense aquatic flavor ending with an incredibly soft, creamy, and mellow dry-down. The full-bodied Hollister perfume for him lasts an entire day.

This cologne is super likable and will get you lots of compliments. You will also feel super refreshed whenever you wear it. Excellent for daily use, Festival vibes cologne has pretty good staying power, lasting between 5-7 hours on average. 

Aside from festivals, you can also wear this fantastic scent to the beach or when going to a party.

SoCal Sunset By Hollister Review

This listing would not be complete without SoCal Sunset cologne, a Hollister cologne that comes highly recommended. 

SoCal sunset is a citrusy-fruity fragrance designed for outdoorsy men with a preference for sweet, woodsy, and musky fragrances. Like SoCal, the popular scent captures South California’s carefree beach lifestyle.

This cologne sports a super clean, smooth, creamy, and fruity aroma that remains fresh all through. Suitable for both genders, it sports moderate sillage and longevity and is best worn during summer or for a night out, though you can wear it all year round.  

Any man can wear SoCal Sunset, but it’s I’d recommend it most for teens and guys in their 20s. The scent is clean with a little sweetness that is better suited to younger men than to mature adults who might appreciate a more complex and earthier scent.
