Viktor & Rolf are the makers of fabulous scents such as Spicebomb and Bonbon.

The avante-garde fashion house prides itself on creating innovative, well-thought-out, high-quality products, including exclusive eyewear, haute couture collections, and ready-to-wear attire.

These offerings display Victor Rolf’s deep love and passion for what they do.

Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren joined hands to form Victor and Rolf in 1993. The two fashion artists studied fashion and design together in The Netherlands.

Flowerbomb was the brand’s debut fragrance, and it single-handedly placed Victor and Rolf firmly on the world’s perfume map.

The Story Behind Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Perfume

Flowerbomb is a perfume with a cult following. It was released in 2005, marking the culmination of a decade of Viktor & Rolf’s incredible work in the fashion industry.

Earlier in April 2002, the fashion house signed a contract with L’Oreal, a global giant specializing in cosmetics. This deal paved the way for the launch of bestselling fragrances – chief among them, Flowerbomb.

To celebrate the 10-year milestone, the brand commissioned 4 respectable noses.

Their combined skills resulted in a one-of-a-kind feminine scent that soon became a global sensation and an all-time favorite.

It took them 3 long years, but the outcome was well worth the wait – an intensely floral scent that exudes raw feminine power.

Over the years, Victor & Rolf’s masterpiece has become a beloved signature scent for many women.

As a result, it effortlessly occupies a prized spot in many collections, and few women would say they’ve never heard of Flowerbomb.

Flowerbomb represents a marriage between haute-perfumery and haute-couture, meaning this is one eye-catching fragrance.

Victor & Rolf Fowerbomb arrives in a flacon shaped like a diamond grenade hinting at the explosive essence held within its glassy confines.

The striking packaging screams glamor, luxury, and utter sophistication. In addition, it displays stunning attention to detail, its hard-edged contours a sharp contrast to the soft-pink fluid.

A-top the gorgeous perfume bottle, is a silver cap that helps hold the fluid firmly in place.

You will also notice the brand’s logo (V&R) etched in black on a tag sticking out of the neck of the bottle. Also plainly evident is a simple Flowerbomb label on the front face.

You can purchase a Victor & Rolf Fowerbomb perfume bottle from online stores. Sizes range between 30 ml, 50 ml, and 100 ml (1.01,1, and 3.38 ounces).

Scent

4.8

From the name, you can tell this is a floral scent. Fortunately, Flowerbomb is not overwhelmingly flowery. Instead, it comes off deliciously warm and leaves an incredible lingering aroma in its wake.

So what makes up Flowerbomb, and what does it smell like?

At the top lies citrusy bergamot and green tea notes, lending the fragrance a fresh and sweet start.

Next follows a heart that tingles with the fragrant bouquet of intoxicating florals, among them jasmine, Cattleya orchid, orange blossom, and rose.

The final phase comes with a mix of sensual musk, warm vanilla, and earthy patchouli, providing an oriental, slightly masculine touch to the base.

The fusion between potent florals and patchouli makes for a fragrance that feels well-balanced and incredibly sexy.

Add to that the juicy citrus accents, and you have an enchanting medley of notes that infuse an intriguing, flirty/romantic edge to this veritable crowd-pleaser.

Overall, Flowerbomb has a super appealing scent that garners compliments from everyone who catches a whiff of it. And no matter how fleeting the encounter, the perfume leaves a lasting impression.

You’ll smell enticing, whether at work or attending a full-day event, and at the end of the day, your skin will still have a beautiful lingering aroma.

One intriguing thing about Flowerbomb is the scent’s uncanny ability to take on a unique smell depending on the wearer.

This means two women may spritz on Flowerbomb but will end up smelling quite different. An outstanding feat, right?
